Our client, an international provider of inorganic materials, is committed to the care and protection of the environment. Due to retirement, they are now looking for an Analytical Chemist to join their team.

As an Analytical Chemist, you will help to test and report on our client’s environmental, process control and final product release samples. 

Joining a small, talented team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues from R&D, Operations, HSE and Planning Departments to provide a world-class service. 

Reporting to the Senior Analyst, you’ll receive samples, perform testing in-line with agreed specifications and report your findings to the relevant department. 

Interested? To be considered, you will need: 

- At least two years’ industrial laboratory experience 
- Experience of inorganic and physical chemical analytical techniques
- At a minimum, a degree level qualification in analytical chemistry, ideally a master’s 

As an Analytical Chemist, you’ll be a strong communicator who can work well as part of a highly functional team. The ability to work with a high level of accuracy and precision to tight deadlines is key. 

Experience in method development, particularly with regards to in-process testing to support manufacturing would be an advantage. Specific experience of XRF would also be beneficial, as would experience of in XRD, ICP and porosimetry and associated software.
