Business involves taking risks. Our client's choice of litigation and dispute resolution lawyers should not.
At Dentons, our lawyers draw upon their extensive experience, trusted judgment and insight to develop a customized strategy-always with our client's specific business objectives at top of mind. Together, we tackle challenges efficiently and effectively so that they can move ahead.
Our dispute resolution lawyers employ the most appropriate tools and strategies for each stage of the process and each unique situation. Whether through timely use of innovative alternative dispute resolution techniques or skillful and persuasive advocacy in the courtroom, clients can count on our lawyers to maximize their prospects for a successful outcome. We also work with clients to assess and manage their risks in relation to the legal costs of the dispute and to seek to minimize the likelihood of future litigation.
Whether our client's dispute has strategic, reputational or financial importance and whatever the subject matter, their success is our priority.
Purpose of role
To deliver outstanding secretarial support to partners and fee earners within the Dispute Resolution department, with a focus on client service. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering a professional secretarial service of the highest quality.
Responsibilities
Creating/amending documents and letters
Digital dictation
Collating billing guides, drafting narratives and covering letters to clients / liaising with accounts team on billing matters
Time recording
Updating/adding contacts to InterAction
Photocopying, filing and scanning
Daily email management
File opening
Taking telephone calls, dealing with queries where able or otherwise communicating these to fee earner
Diary Management
Submitting fee earner expense claims and arranging travel
File closing
Required experience, skills and attributes
Proven experience within a similar secretarial role
Banking sector knowledge and experience would be advantageous but not essential
Fast, accurate typing skills
Ability to turn around large documents at speed
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of applications, including Excel and advanced Powerpoint skills
Strong organisational skills
Effective communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Ability to use own initiative and remain calm under pressure
Sound team player
Confident and professional telephone manner
Pro-active and "can do" attitude
Willingness to work beyond core business hours to meet clients' expectations.
Language Capabilities
