Job Purpose:

The Operation Manager manages Biorbyt’s global logistics supply chain and leads the Operations team. The role pro-actively monitors operational KPIs, existing processes, suggests and implements solutions for short, mid-term and long term planning. The Operation Manager is part of the Management team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic:

General understanding and awareness of Biorbyt Group and its strategic aims and furthering those in the respective areas of Operation and Logistics.

Operational:

•    Manages the Operation team based in the UK (2 Operation Assistants)
•    Review existing processes and implement ISO9001;2015 with assistance of existing team and directors
•    Manages customer queries and problems via our CRM solution
•    Supports technical support in managing cases that do not require scientific input
•    Creates a dashboard to capture monthly KPIs that can be reviewed by the MT team and directors
•    Pro-actively improves existing processes and aligns Operational strategies with growth objectives
•    Expands Operation area to deal with novel products, reviews H&S guidelines and sets up safe areas
•    Responsible for inventory in UK and advice on global. Set up Inventory Quality Control in conjugation with Accounts Team
•    Manage IT systems that support the Operation team and 3rd parties and coordinates with IT provider
•    Responsible for UK office (plan desk expansion, H&S, electricity outline, evaluate new locations, consult with the team to improve office)
•    Liasion with shipping companies such as FedEx to monitor the shipping cost and regulations
•    Review packaging and also monitoring supplies for both office and operations- find cost efficiencies

Destirable Skills:

•    Existing experience in logistics or supply chains
•    Good with IT systems, new software, sorting out hardware issues such as printers
•    Pro-active player that is not afraid to push for novel ideas
•    Attention to detail and ability to document processes will be crucial for ISO certification application
•    Good team player and communicator as Operation overlaps with multiple departments
•    Knowledge of handling biological samples

Work Experience & Knowledge:

•    3-5 years’ experience in a logistics role, ideally with experience of ecommerce and online sales

Education Level:

•    Bachelor degree, although person with relevant experience will be considered for the role

Professional Qualifications:

•    Relevant certificates
•    Experience in implementing ISO
•    Experience in international trade

Salary: £25,000.00 - £35,000.00 pa
