Our client is a leading, high quality social care provider for people with learning disabilities and complex needs in the North West. With over 18 years’ experience, the service is a well-respected provider of personalised support services tailored to the needs of individuals with complex needs.
They require 3 Deputy Team Managers for their support service Fountains at Stanley Grange in Samlesbury, near Preston. You will be required to support adults with learning disabilities needs, with a focus on developing further independent skills. Candidates will need to demonstrate an understanding of people with learning disabilities who challenge, promoting independence and supporting people. Person centred plans will need developing for each individual to develop areas such as budgeting skills and to become more independent in all areas of their lives.
You will need to have a Can-Do attitude, person centred approach and be resilient as the people supported are part of the transforming care agenda and will present with challenging behaviours. Team working skills and a determination to achieve service outcomes are a must as well as the ability to role model company values, challenging colleagues who don’t!
An NVQ Level 3 in Social Health and Care (or working towards one) is desirable. Experience in shift leading and supervising staff would be an advantage.
They have full time and part time posts with 90% of time spent on shift leading your team. Applicants need to be willing to work a variety of shifts including evenings, nights, weekends and sleep-in shifts. You would benefit from having your own transport due to the rural location and limited public transport in the area.
Interviews will be held at Stanley Grange, Preston, PR5 0RB on 28 July 2017.
If successful you must be able to complete a paid induction training course on commencement held on fixed dates (full days) within the first weeks of employment. Most induction training takes place at Marle House in Oldham. Full details available for successful applicants when a start date is agreed. Out of pocket expenses for travelling to induction training at Marle House may be claimed.
