Our client is a forward-looking College of Further & Higher Education that serves a large area of South East England with a wide range of vocational and academic courses, both full and part time. The College is situated in Ewell, close to Epsom in Surrey, and is located in the green belt near Epsom Downs and can easily be accessed either by car (junctions 8-10 on the M25) or rail (Ewell West is close and the college is next to Ewell East where you can get regular direct trains to Clapham Junction and Victoria). The College was last inspected in February 2016 retaining its overall grading of 'Good' under the robust new Ofsted standards.

They are currently recruiting to the following position:

Hair and Media Make-up Lecturer - 0.8 FTE

Up to full time, job share or sessional hours could be considered

£27,641 - £33,175 p.a. (pro rata for fractional appointments)

Our client is set in an attractive green campus outside Epsom, next to a mainline station. The College has recently undergone extensive redevelopment and they are able to offer staff free car parking and other on campus benefits.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for them to appoint an enthusiastic, dynamic, experienced and talented hair and media make up lecturer to teach on their Level 2 Hair and Media Make up course and new for September, the Level 3 Advanced Technical Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects and Media Make up Artistry course.

You will have the relevant hair and media make up qualifications, and industry experience to teach on these courses including qualifications in applying prosthetics pieces, creating, dressing and fitting facial postiche and special effects make up. You will have some teaching experience and ideally your assessors/IV award.

You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to use your own initiative and work independently. This role also includes being a tutor to students.
