Job Introduction
A challenging new opportunity has arisen for an Operational Architect specialised in Wintel technologies to join our fast-growing Managed Services division onsite at a government unit customer. The successful individual will work in the Wintel Datacentre technology and services space, taking ownership for building managed service portfolio offerings. You will also be responsible for pre-sales due-diligence, technical governance and assurance as well as driving thought leadership within the technical and ITIL service lines.

You will be join our organisation with the ability to influence and drive technology and service standards, hence you will feel confident leading a dynamic team of analyst in service incubation programmes, through multiple phases including adoption and into business as usual. Your ability to communicate at all levels within an organisation will be a valuable asset as you traverse across both Computacenter and Customer environments building trusted relationships that will help you meet your objectives and maintain excellence.

This is an extremely important, highly demanding, and visible role within the organisation. Your peers are already well established experts in their field and will support you in inventing robust services for our extensive and demanding client base.

You will need to have demonstrable expertise in a managed services operating model as well as a detailed level of technical concepts for End User solutions and services including Windows Server Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory, Federation Services, PKI & Certificate Management, Server and Client Anti-Virus.

Role Responsibility
Your main responsibilities will include???
Service Portfolio Management
You will identify and analyse both service and technical necessities to develop suitable service offerings in line with internal, customer and market requirements, own and manage the scoping and definition of a potential service by understanding and translating the above and represent Managed Services during proposition led technical and growth programmes.
Technical Governance and Assurance
You will act as the technical authority for Managed Service technical personnel, highlight risks, issues and actions to mitigate those, assure technical, migration and testing designs are destined for a managed service outcome as well as define Architectural Standards for technical arena
Pre-Sales Due-Diligence
You will perform due-diligence and provide governance for transition opportunities in pre-sales and assist with technical enquiries, attend customer strategy meetings and act as ISP champion during bid campaigns where required.
Roadmap/Innovation
You will operate the continued evolution of current supported products list, support roadmap sessions during client innovation days and keep up-to-date with key vendors and their current and future products and strategies.

Apart of the above you will maintain all administrative documentation and build and improve relationships with peers, Computacenter's Professional Services, Chief Technologist, Customer Solution Architects and Projects Practice.

The Ideal Candidate
You will...
Ideally will hold a current SC/DV clearance, but will at least be eligible to undergo SC Be certified MCSA/MCSE or equivalent Have minimum of 5 years' experience as an architect or consultant in a managed services environment Be certified in Microsoft Server Operating Systems (2008, 2012, 2016) Microsoft Active Directory Services including federation services for internal, hybrid and cloud bases services. Have confident knowledge on server and client endpoint security Anti-Virus technologies and of Public Key Infrastructure and Certificate Services. Have in depth knowledge and experience of multiple technologies of Wintel and Directory Services Be experienced with Azure Active Directory and supporting Azure services preferable Have high level of technical support experience across multiple vendors and products Be able to build service designs and create related technical and business documentation for multiple technology solutions. Have excellent communications skills, hence you can articulate technical and commercial ideas clearly and simply as well as present to both internal and external audiences We also welcome if you like to maintain industry awareness through training and self-development, have lateral and creative thinking and we also would like you to be a great virtual and project teammate.
