Accounts Assistant - Junior

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established & leading catering equipment design and supply company with a wide portfolio of successfully completed projects and a prestige client list including some of the best known restaurant brands on the high street.

They are seeking a diligent and well organised individual to join them as a junior accounts assistant.

Working alongside their Accounts Administrator / Bookkeeper, the role will primarily involve processing entries on the supplier ledger but over time will extend into the various other areas of the company's accounting function. Overall tasks may include …

- Purchase order and purchase ledger processing
- Supplier payments
- Sales order and sales ledger processing
- Credit control
- Associated nominal ledger, banking and petty cash accounting
- General accounting and office duties

Whilst this is as a junior position and applications will be welcome from those with a general office background, candidates should ideally possess some experience in working on accounting related tasks. Experience with Sage accounting software would be beneficial although not essential.

The successful person will join a small friendly team providing design solutions and equipment for the food service and hospitality sector.

Salary will be in the region of £15,000- £18,000 PA dependent on age and experience.
