Technical Information Security Officer
Leeds Building Society is looking for a Technical Information Security Officer to join our Prudential & Enterprise Risk department, based at our Head Office in the heart of Leeds city centre.
About the role
You will support the Head of information security and IT risk in the continuous development of the Society's Information Security framework, embed the processes and provide advice to the business areas.
Key accountabilities
- Working with the Head of Information security and IT risk design, plan and perform a programme of Information Security thematic reviews in order to provide assurance that controls are in line with the control framework and working effectively.
- Advising the first line of appropriate solutions and management processes so that the first line controls meet the Information Security Policy.
- Researching threats which may be applicable to the Society and evaluating the current maturity of the controls to identify the residual risk.
Essential Skills and Experience
- A comprehensive knowledge of IT controls and technical solutions. Preferably have a relevant information security qualitification such as Security+, CISSP, ISO 27001 lead auditor/implementer.
- A thorough understanding of Information Security control frameworks including ISO 2700x, PCI and SANS top 20.
- Competent skills in communication, report writing, data analysis and training & facilitation.
- Understanding general management processes, project management and regulatory requirements for financial services
