Principal Teachers are currently seeking to appoint a PPA Cover Teacher on behalf of a primary school in the Ripon area to work within Key Stage 1 and 2 covering PPA time. The Head Teacher requires a motivated and dynamic teacher to teach across the full primary age range and provide cover to teachers within the school on a full time basis. The position is available to start as soon as possible on an ongoing basis. You will need to work collaboratively with your colleagues to team plan and ensure the progression of all children.
Based in Ripon, the school is easily accessible and is well resourced. Staff are very welcoming and committed to aiding children to achieve academically as well as encouraging their growth socially, emotionally and culturally. The successful applicant will need to show a willingness to engage in the wider life of the school and fully embrace the school ethos. You will need to demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and classroom management skills as you will be floating between KS1 and KS2 classes throughout the week. The Head Teacher is seeking to appoint an individual, who is enthusiastic and passionate about education and helping children to achieve. You will be able to form strong working relationships with staff and pupils very quickly and fully adopt school policies.
The successful applicant will have:
-Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) recognisable in the UK
-Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
-Previous experience of teaching in the UK
-Knowledge of the current Primary National Curriculum requirements for KS1 and KS2
-Enthusiasm for the role and a creative flare
-The ability to form excellent working relationships with staff and pupils from a diverse range of backgrounds
-Experience of planning and assessment to a very high standard
-A commitment to improving attainment for all students
-A proven track record for raising attainment and achieving targets
