Our client, Met Consultancy Group has a new opening for an experienced Senior Surveyor to join their growing team, on a full time basis.

This well-established and thriving business offers a range of services including integrated assessments, investigations and design services. Boasting over 60 qualified Surveyors and Engineers with over 35 years experience combined; this is a rare opportunity for the right candidate to take that next step in their Surveying career with a rewarding and fast growing company.

They work nationally with public and private sector clients to provide accurate data and effective design solutions alongside assistance and advice for compliance and efficiency for any project. They call this Met AID.

Senior Surveyor Role and Responsibilities

Based primarily from the Met Consultancy Groups Leeds office, you will be required to travel nationwide on a regular basis, which will include over night stays and an occasional weekend, with the potential of overseas work. It is essential candidates can be flexible in their approach to their working hours, as some contracts may require out of hours work i.e. railway surveys etc. (overtime, time in lieu is credited)

Additionally your role will include all you would expect of a Senior Surveyor, which will vary daily, but will include;
• Undertaking 3D topographical and measured building surveys integrated with data processing and the preparation of final AutoCAD drawings.
• Compiling method statements and risk assessments

Who are we looking for?
Joining the Met Consultancy Group, the successful Senior Surveyor, will have the required and essential experience, qualifications and skills to undertake and thrive within this role, including;
• Experience in the production of boundary/title surveys, monitoring work, volumetrics, utility tracing and setting out would offer candidates a distinct advantage.
• Ideally candidates will be a geomatics graduate and be able to demonstrate a responsible approach to quality, environmental and health and safety management.
• Experience of compiling method statements, risk assessments and knowledge of lone working procedures.
• Consideration will be given to candidates without a geomatics qualification if they can demonstrate extensive experience of specific disciplines.
• A good knowledge of LEICA total stations and GPS is preferable and CSCS, PTS/COSS or Confined Spaces training qualifications would enhance your application.
• Good knowledge of AutoCAD is essential and experience of laser scanning, MBS, LSS, Leica Geo Office, 3D modelling and Revit would be beneficial.
• We would expect candidates to possess excellent inter-personal skills and have experience of dealing with client requirements and delivery of projects to varying specifications.
• Ability to work on your own initiative, be motivated, to manage other survey crews and produce high quality, accurate data within tight timelines.
• Good written and spoken English, and a full UK driving licence is essential.
