Location: Long Stratton
Salary: £52,015 - £55,743 per annum
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Closing date: 12th July 2017
Interview date: 19th July 2017
Our client is an ambitious and innovative local authority. Their vision is to make the area one of the best places to live and work in the country and how they deliver growth is a pivotal role.
Strong leadership, creativity and ambition are needed to turn our client's vision into reality and you will need to deliver the above whilst leading a performance driven, customer focussed approach to delivery of growth across your team and the Council as a whole.
Job Role
Our client want someone who can enable the proper integrated and cohesive approach to the delivery of the growth agenda. In particular, you will need to support the growth of existing businesses from dynamic sectors such as Agritech and advanced manufacturing, through to individual SMEs, which are the life blood of their vibrant market towns and villages.
You will blend the different disciplines of your team and the Council to create and integrate new communities, rather than just building housing or industrial estates. You will develop initiatives and projects that will accelerate growth and create an environment where: communities can help themselves and address their needs, people's need for jobs and housing are met in a timely way; and the intrinsic qualities of South Norfolk are preserved.
The Candidate
Demonstrating excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will need to have a proven track record of providing inspirational, strategic leadership, together with the ability to set and communicate a clear vision and direction.
They are seeking candidates with great energy and a strong desire to work collaboratively with local businesses, business leaders and other partners to shape and deliver the priorities of the Council's Economic Development Strategy and the New Anglia LEP's strategic economic plan.
