Customer Advisor
Walton-on-Thames, KT12
Salary: Up to £9,500 per annum depending on experience + Excellent benefits including flexi time, Private Medical Insurance, Childcare Vouchers, membership of the Social Housing Pension Scheme and a range of employee wellbeing initiatives.
Permanent Part-time – 17.5 hours per week
Working Pattern – Job share post working 2.5 days per week on Wednesday afternoons, Thursdays and Fridays
Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a part-time Customer Advisor on behalf of their client, a leading social housing provider based in Walton-on-Thames.
This a fantastic opportunity to work as part of a dynamic team to deliver high quality, responsive and accurate ‘first contact’ services to customers.
Key accountabilities of this role will include:
- Dealing with all forms of customer contact at first point of contact, seeking first contact resolution wherever possible and taking ownership of customer queries, working within agreed customer standards
- Providing accurate and up to date information and advice to customers across all areas of the business, referring customers to relevant internal colleagues or external agencies and partners as appropriate.
- Dealing with all customer contact in a friendly, efficient and calm manner ensuring accurate and up to date records are kept on the appropriate housing management systems.
- Progressing all enquiries and liaising with outside agencies, contractors and other colleagues as appropriate to ensure that customers are kept informed of all steps taken and decisions made.
- Processing tenancy update requests received from tenants.
- Ensuring departmental health and safety procedures are adhered to and all relevant policies followed in relation to action and reporting.
- Ensuring adherence to the organisation’s Equal Opportunities policies, procedures and diversity strategy in order to provide the best possible service to a diverse customer base.
Candidate Requirements:
For this Customer Advisor role, the ideal candidate will have the following:
- Educated to GCSE standard or the ability to demonstrate suitable experience to meet the requirements of the role.
- Excellent customer service skills with a methodical approach to tasks and prioritise effectively to meet individual, team, department and organisation wide targets.
- Demonstrable numeracy skills
- Good communication skills with a ‘can do’ attitude and ability to use initiative
- Ability to provide a flexible service to customers
