Our client is one of the leading manufacturers of building products for the UK’s construction industry. They provide the materials for life’s essential structures, helping their customers build with ease and confidence.
They are entering an exciting new era – as a leader and innovator in the construction industry, they are stepping up another level. They have an extensive network of 17 manufacturing facilities in the UK, employing approximately 1,600 people.
Their HR department is embarking on a significant change programme under new leadership, and joining them as HR Service Delivery Advisor, you will be instrumental to that change.
About the Role
Reporting to the Head of HR Service Delivery & Reward, you will be the first point of contact for all HR related queries, with a focus on supporting line managers as well as HR. You will be fully involved in the HR business activities, including case management of employee relations.
Assisting in the application of standard work and ways of working to ensure consistency of people management practices across the Group, you will administer HR related documentation connected with all aspects of the employee lifecycle such as; recruitment, contracts of employment, induction, probationary periods, pay reviews, bonuses, maternity, paternity, parental leave, driving licence checks, child care, reward and benefits, absence, disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, union negotiations and HR budgets.
Supporting and liaising with the HR Business Partners as necessary, you will provide additional recruitment support such as setting up interviews and issuing all relevant correspondence whilst ensuring the relevant HR database, personnel file and record keeping is up to date, accurate and complies with legislation. You will also be required to provide data and prepare management information reports including analysis and insight and assist in the development of HR systems and ways of working.
About You
They are looking for an individual who will ideally hold or be working towards a CIPD qualification and who has special HR functional knowledge and experience. Able to demonstrate drive and initiative, you will be open to change, flexibility and adaptability and be able to establish trust and relationships. With cross-functional understanding and a high level of work ethic, you will demonstrate service orientation and foresee and act to meet customer needs.
