FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - SWINDON
A leading Swindon based software house has an exciting new opportunity for a Financial Controller to join their team.
The successful candidate will have the ability to prioritise a number of different tasks at the same time without losing focus of key objectives.
This role is responsible for corporate accounting, Corporation tax returns and tax planning and managing the annual Audit, all in association with our external Accountants, VAT and internal reporting to the Management Board. As Financial Controller you will manage external relationships with Bankers, Suppliers and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all company accounts and investments
- Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts in a timely manner
- Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
- Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
- Assist the Directors with potential acquisitions and investments
- Group function responsible for 3 people with profit and loss responsibility initially
- Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation
- Collaborate with external auditors services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
- Develop budgets and financial plans for the company based on research and data reports
- Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
- Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
To be considered you will need:-
- To be a qualified accountant with relevant professional bodes, or accounting degree
- Have extensive experience in a business or finance environment
- Demonstrate strong management and interpersonal skills along with outstanding mathematical skills
- Have experience with running multiple P&L's
- Ideally have experience within a software/IT environment
- Experience of acquisitions
