Excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts/General Assistant to join a well-established company based in Knighton, Mid Wales to cover Maternity cover for 12 months

Company

The company design and manufacture electrical control systems for the process industry. Typically this would be a control panel with PLC or relay logic and motor control gear. Panel sizes range from fractional horsepower starters to full Motor Control Centres (MCC).

In addition the company is an ECA accredited installation company, operating nationwide from a fleet of fully equipped and modern vans.

Role and responsibilities;

  • Processing of sales ledger and purchase ledger invoices
  • Supplier reconciliation
  • Sending remittance of payment to suppliers
  • Preparing BACS payments for suppliers and receiving customer payments
  • Creating and emailing purchase orders
  • Maintaining and posting general ledgers
  • Processing bank transactions
  • Expenses and creating new product codes
  • Creating and maintaining Sage project information
  • Liaising with suppliers and answering customer queries

Other duties will include;

  • Booking of overnight accommodation
  • Creating and updating Excel spreadsheets
  • Online ordering
  • Organising Health & Safety training, Health & Safety reminders
  • Packaging dispatch of small parcels, plus general day to day office work

Candidate Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should have extensive knowledge and experience of Sage 50 accounts, reporting directly to the finance manager
  • AAT qualified or previous bookkeeping experience required
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word and Excel.
