The Role
- This new post requires an experienced, pro-active Engineering Supervisor to help us "move up a gear." Their facility operates in the FMG packaging industry so the pace is fast and the business is growing.
- A hands-on post reporting to the Site Manager and tasked with providing efficient and effective engineering support to the site.
- Managing the existing maintenance team and working with other supervisors on site to improve health and safety and support production to ensure the site hits the daily production targets in terms of output, quality and costs.
- Continuous improvement and team working are core to the culture of the business, and effective liaison with the Sales, Planning, Production and Despatch Departments is essential to success.
- It is a definite aim for this person to become seen as the deputy for the Works Manager.

The Person
- Experience in lean manufacturing, and ideally in a high speed production environment would be a major advantage.
- A qualified and experienced Maintenance Engineer who can demonstrate success in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of steam boiler systems, hydraulics and pneumatics is essential.
- Great team leadership, management, and communications skills.
- Resilience to deal with a fast paced environment, and flexibility to adapt to a rapidly changing business.
