Software Engineers with at least 2 years' experience in a java / web development environment are needed for our client, the UK's largest domestic building estimating service. They are seeking experienced Software Developers to enhance their unique software portfolio. The successful candidates will be developing web based Java applications and mobile apps in their office in Cheshire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Developing web based Java applications and mobile apps
• Working alongside the IT Director to identify and implement improvements to the existing estimating system
• Assisting in developing new systems as the company expands.

Qualifications / experience required:

• Degree educated or equivalent experience.
• 2 years+ experience within a java / web development environment
• Good level of written and oral communication

Strong software development experience using the following:

• Java
• Tomcat or other web container
• Unix or Linux experience
• Spring
• Hibernate/JPA
• MySQL
• JavaScript
• HTML
• CSS
• jQuery or similar
• Google Web Toolkit (GWT) (desirable)

Benefits:

• Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
• Company Medical Insurance (after a qualifying period)
• 28 days paid leave initially rising to 29 days after 1 year and increasing 1 day every year up to a maximum 38 days.
