Job Description LOCATION: Wendover Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire and surrounding area

JOB TITLE: Painter and Decorator

SALARY: GBP26,000 - GBP31,200 - negotiable dependent on skills and experience

WORKING HOURS: 8am - 4pm Mon - Fri

THE COMPANY: Our client is a member of the Federation of Master Builders, Guild of Master Craftsmen and Safecontractor. They have been established for 14 years and are well known in the area as a general building contractor responsible for high quality work including extensions, alterations and groundworks. They offer candidates a permanent full time position within a stable, friendly and experienced working team.

THE ROLE: Due to continued expansion they are now looking for an experienced Painter and Decorator to join their team. You will expected to carry out the usual range of decorative works including wallpaper stripping, applying lining paper, coving, carrying out decorative preparations and decorative finishing to a consistent high standard and with good speed. There will be some exterior decorating additionally (exterior of buildings to include soffits, fascias, ironwork etc) which may require working at height.

This role will include working as part of a team to complete projects on time.

Key Responsibilities of the Painter and Decorator based in Wendover Aylesbury to include:-

• Working with diligence to a high standard of finish at a reasonable and satisfactory speed.
• An awareness relevant Health & Safety matters and adhering to Health & Safety procedures. Any current training or qualifications will be an advantage, but Health & Safety training will be provided on an ongoing basis.

THE CANDIDATE: To be considered for this role you must be an experienced Painter and Decorator with significant experience of working within the construction industry. You will demonstrate commitment and consistently complete high standards of work, working well as part of a team and also independently on your own initiative, without direct supervision if required. You must have a high level of physical fitness as the work can be physically demanding at times.

Key experience essential for the role:

• Previous experience as a Painter and Decorator
• High level of physical fitness
• High level of motivation to complete projects on time
• Previous experience in construction industry is essential
• Full UK Driving licence is essential
• Own transport is essential
• You should live within a commutable distance to Wendover Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire
• References will be required
