Graduate Service Investigation Engineer:
Assystem are currently looking for enthusiastic talented Graduate engineers to join our existing Service Engineering team, working alongside a global OEM to provide In-Service support to its worldwide fleet of Civil Aero gas turbine engines.
The Role:
You will be trained and developed to work on a variety of projects including taking ownership of in-service investigations and integrated project teams to resolve operator and overhaul concerns, enabling the maximisation of the OEM's aftermarket business through effective technical fleet support.
You'll be part of a key team using specialist knowledge, strategic planning, project management and the latest OEM and commercial software, to analyse both the OEM and operators in-service issues, providing engineering solutions and technical support to optimise the management, life and reliability of the engine fleets.
You'll work alongside Assystem & OEM Engineers, so it's vital that you are a confident communicator, with the ability to build a good rapport with other team members as this is an integral part of the role. Maintaining a positive and conscientious approach ensuring that quality standards are met at all times. You will be responsible for owning an 'issue' with the ability to pursue it through to solution delivery.
Who we're looking for:
Candidates will need to have completed a relevant engineering degree, where you will have completed modules which will have given you a good technical knowledge of gas turbine engines and associated components and also be familiar with their operation and design.
Experience of modern commercial aircraft operations or maintenance coupled with an understanding of airworthiness regulations/requirements would be favourable but not essential.
You'll need to be a good communicator, both written and oral and have good negotiation and influencing skills.
Well-developed IT skills with a good knowledge of MS Word and Excel are essential.
