We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Fitter on behalf of a leading equipment manufacturer serving the quarrying sector. As well as manufacturing a range of plant they also offer on-site maintenance of existing equipment. Ideal candidates for this position will have worked in a similar role previously. An immediate start is available for the successful candidate.
BENEFITS:
GBP25,000 to GBP29,000 per annum depending upon experience
Regular overtime paid at a premium
Excellent opportunities for progression
WORKING HOURS:
40 hours per week Monday to Friday although some flexibility will be required
DUTIES INVOLVED IN THIS VACANCY:
Onsite maintenance of a range of plant including conveyors, screens and crushers
Final mechanical assembly of new equipment prior to delivery
Fault finding
Provide advice to customers to ensure complete client satisfaction
Support the team with additional hands-on resources where required
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR THIS VACANCY:
Previous experience in a similar role either in quarry or construction machinery
Good understanding of, and ability to work with, technical drawings
Enthusiasm, flexibility and keen to learn new skills across the entire business
Full UK driving licence is essential
Quarry Passport (MPQC) would be useful but not essential
