LifeSkills Programme Coordinator

Are you passionate about giving young people in Wales the skills they need to enter the modern workplace?  Do you have experience of programme management and relationship building?

Lifeskills was developed by Barclays and is a free teaching resource covering three modules; people skills, work skills and money skills.  We will be supporting the rollout of the programme in South East and South West Wales by targeting secondary schools facing challenging circumstances.

We are looking for a LifeSkills Coordinator for a fixed term maternity cover contract to co-ordinate all activity for the successful delivery of the LifeSkills programme in Wales.

You will manage the day to day partnership between Barclays, BITC Wales and schools while building relationships with senior contacts in secondary schools in South West and South East Wales.

You will also be responsible for planning LifeSkills workshops in schools, so that the opportunities are tailored to the schools’ requirements and the engagement of pupils and volunteers are maximised and targets met. Knowledge of the issues facing young people in Wales is essential.

You will be promoting the LifeSkills workshop volunteering opportunities to Barclays staff and act as a broker between volunteers and target schools to prioritise those with greatest need, so you will need experience of relationship building.

This is a fixed term contract until July 2018  - 4 days per week (28 hours) term time only.
