Salary: Up to GBP30,000 DOE

Hours of work: Rotating Days and Nights, 7am-7pm & 7pm-7am

Overtime: Available and paid at a premium

My client based in the Wellingborough area are looking to add another multi skilled engineer to their friendly engineering team. Currently they are recruiting for an experienced multi skilled maintenance engineer to support the daily operation of the engineering department through the maintenance of services and assigned long term preventative maintenance (TPM) and projects. The ideal candidate should be capable of working in a team with relatively little supervision and using their own initiative.

Job Description:

This role is responsible for all day to day engineering and maintenance activities, ensuring work is conducted to a high standard whilst maximising machine efficiencies, fault diagnosis of equipment and processes from identifying problems to implementation of a solution. To support the Dailey operations of the engineering department through the maintenance of services and assigned long term preventative maintenance programs (TPM) and projects.

Responsibilities:

- Conduct repairs and maintenance of all machinery on site including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electronic to a high standard
- Carry out modifications to machine controls and documents; update drawings as required
- Undertake reactive and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment and machinery in line with the TPM plan
- Contribute and actively participate in continuous improvement activities
- Carry out offline repairs to spare parts to ensure availability for continued production
- Assist with stock control of parts and materials
- Ensure all company procedures are followed as necessary
- Ensure housekeeping is to the correct quality standard through use of the housekeeping assessment system in line with cells of excellence
- Demonstrate at all times a proactive and flexible approach and to carry out any other reasonable duties as and when directed by the production Shift Manger/ Engineering Manager

You must have/be:

- Capable of working as part of a team with relatively little supervision and use your own initiative
- Enthusiastic with a positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Electrical installation experience (working to 17th edition is an advantage) with some working knowledge of PLCs and HMI control system
- Ability to work with electrical engineering drawings
- Preferably a recognised city & guilds, ONC or NVQ Certificate in mechanical engineering and electrical maintenance
- A working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics
