We are currently working in association with a modern, forward thinking and dynamic Accountancy Practice based in Blackburn to recruit a Senior Corporate Services Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
The role is mainly client based where you will be responsible for a a team of up to 4 individuals carrying out corporate tax computations and audits. Clients will range in size from SME to corporate level and you will be the on-site 'go to' for your team and the customer.
Duties and responsibilities:
To lead audit assignments of clients of varying sizes and across many sectors.
To understand and review corporate tax computations.
To control the production of accounts for your clients.
To work on special projects with our corporate finance and tax teams.
To actively support other members of the Corporate Services team.
To build strong mentor/client relationships.
Personal characteristics required:
Keen to play an active role in a dynamic team and willing to contribute to the success and development.
of the team and the firm as a whole.
Passionate about providing great client service.
Great at communicating with people at all levels - face to face and in writing.
Positive and good at using your initiative.
Highly Organised.
Ambitious and motivated.
Our ideal candidate will:
Be working towards or have attained the ACA or ACCA qualification.
Have strong accounting and audit skills.
Have had responsibility for supervising a team.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills as there will be contact with clients at all levels.
Have good organisational skills as well as the ability to take initiative and contribute to the effective
running of the department.
Have knowledge of recognised software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
