The company is a well established family run business based in Bishop's Stortford, predominantly working on electric motor rewinds and repairs, gearbox and pump servicing and repair. With a machine shop and welding bay to support the repair facility, the company also manufactures and repairs electro-magnets and transformers. The company also has a team of mobile engineers to provide a breakdown response on site.
They are seeking an engineer to join the in-house repairs department.
Duties:
- Stripping down electric motors, pumps and industrial gearboxes.
- Inspecting and identifying any faults prior to overhauling and repairing units.
- Assisting other departments as necessary.
Skills:
- The candidate should have a good mechanical background including fault diagnosis.
- Previous experience working with electric motors, pumps and gearboxes would be an advantage.
- Machinery maintenance experience is also useful.
Details:
Monday to Thursday 8:00am-4.30pm, Friday 8:00am-15:30pm
Paid overtime.
25 Days holiday excluding bank holidays.
