Salary up to £17,238 per annum

Our market leading Newark based Client is looking for a Paint Sprayer to join their busy manufacturing team on a full time, permanent basis.

Job Purpose

Working under the direct control of the General Manager, the successful applicant will be required to prepare and fully paint company products and ancillary equipment to the specified standards. You may also be required to assist in the assembly of company products.

Job Requirements

Wearing the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as issued, at all times.
Inspection of products during preparation for any defects, e.g. welds, damage etc.
To inform QC of any major non-conformance.
Preparing all items for painting.
Remove rust and scale by sanding /grinding.
Degrease/wash the products.
Prime the product to the specified thickness.
Allow to dry.
Prepare primed surfaces in readiness for top coating.
Top coat as per contract or other specified requirement to correct thickness.
Inspect for any defect or sub standard finish and rectify as required.
Allow to dry and remove to a storage area.
Keeping the Paint Shops clean and tidy.
Ensure all the extraction systems and filters are cleaned or replaced as necessary.
Store paint in the relevant cupboards.
Dispose of empty tins into the designated storage bin via the crusher.
Booking out equipment from the Stores.
Assembling of products on and offsite.
Transport products using the Company Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck and overhead lifting equipment.
Attend training courses as required.
Any other reasonable tasks as requested.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate previous similar experience. Experience of operating a counterbalance forklift truck licence would be advantageous however, is not essential as training will be provided for the right applicant.
