The continuing growth of Computacenter's Services business has resulted in a number of system integration projects into and out of Computacenter's Toolsuite as part of a service integration and management solution.
A key goal for the Toolsuite is to deliver a set of tools - under-pinned by ITIL principles - that enable Computacenter to deliver, measure, manage and improve the infrastructure support services that we provide to our customers. As well delivering a toolset rich in functionality, it is imperative that we are able to implement such tools to our customers on a repeatable basis - reducing risk and cost to both us and the customer. In addition to the implementation of the tools, there is an on-going programme to enhance the functionality, improve performance and maintain and support the applications.
Role Responsibility
A vacancy has arisen for a Business Analyst to be part of the Group Information Services Service Tools team. To take ownership for a wide variety of projects ranging from application enhancements, upgrades, standardisation, process improvement on differing technologies working with technical teams as well business teams to successfully deliver changes in a dynamic environment in line with Computacenter standards and processes.
The principal objectives will be:
Work with users and key system stakeholders across Computacenter and the customer base to analyse enhancement requests, prioritise them and work with the in-house technical teams as well as external suppliers to deliver them. Working with a range of stakeholders across the business, define the requirements, processes, procedures and reporting for new modules, components and applications to compliment the existing toolset. Lead workshops to ensure full alignment of requirements and solution across technical and business teams. Ensure that all such requirements are fully aligned to industry best practice and put CC in a leading competitive position. Project manage the delivery of both enhancement releases and new systems. A key part of this will be ensuring that the solutions have been thoroughly tested and meet the specified functional requirements. Produce clear project definition, requirements specifications and test plan documentation for projects undertaken Produce project plans, highlight reports, exceptions reports and risk & issue logs.
The Ideal Candidate Have experience of analysing and delivering enhancement requests to a core business system deployed in a medium to large size company. Such systems will preferably be ones that supports IT Service Management e.g. Remedy ITSM, ServiceNow, HP Service Centre.
Be able to write high quality requirements documents, test plans, project plans, user guides, highlight reports and release notes. Be able to guide the technical teams, at a detailed level, on the functionality that needs to be developed and any changes / corrections that need to be made during the development lifecycle. Be able to carry out hands on application functionality testing, prior to handing over for user acceptance. Be able to design business processes, perform requirements analysis and run requirements workshops. Be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation. Be able to drive and influence others Take full ownership of both technical and business issues.
