Primary Teaching Assistant (Graduate Role) - Bradford

Primary Teaching Assistant - Person Specification
The school requires an ambitious graduate who has obtained a 2:1 or above in their Psychology related degree, and ideally has some experience working with children with autism. It is essential to have a real passion to work in education. Ideally you will have the desire and motivation to become a teacher in the future or a psychologist in the field of education. The school therefore requires a graduate who has excellent communication skills and possesses a motivational attitude.
Primary Teaching Assistant - The Role
As a Teaching Assistant you will have a specialist role, working 1:1 with a small boy who has autism. Although he is able to cope in mainstream, he has a detailed EHCP which helps with his learning and behaviour management. You will assist the classroom teacher, and overtime run 1:1 interventions with the boy tailored to his individual needs. During this experience you will work alongside key professionals such as the Head, SENCO and class teacher - who will guide, train and support you so that you further your skills in SEN education.
