We are looking to appoint a Trainee Design Engineer as part of the growth programme which will see us develop the next generation of experts for Cape Specialist Services (CSS). We are a world leader in the provision of oil and gas storage tanks, heat exchanger replacement and refurbishment, and environmental services.
CSS is entering an exciting period of growth and organisational change. Our people are central to delivering that quality service to our clients and we understand that in order to progress, our Trainee Design Engineers need to go through a structured development programme and we expect them to work towards IEng or CEng status with our support.
Working for our growing Storage Tanks business, and based in Wakefield, you will be working on engineering projects for both UK and global clients. Your core duties will include producing designs, layouts and bills of materials for new tank construction and refurbishment projects.
Success in the role will require technical expertise, an eye for detail and the ability to handle a busy and varied workload. The ability to build relationships with key internal stakeholders and of course our clients is obvious.
To meets the challenges of the role you will also need to have:
- Autocad 2013 experience
- FEA experience
- Engineering degree or a technical degree and relevant experience designing storage tanks
- Strong PC skills, including Word and Excel
- Passion for all of the above
- The ability to work in a busy environment, managing your own time and workload
- A desire to learn
