An in-depth modelling and analysis role holding primary responsibility for running, managing and evolving our Client's impairment model.

Description
Duties will involve:
- Maintenance, enhancement, calibration and redesign of impairment models
- Researching, proposing and delivering solutions to improve modelling methodologies
- Running an ICAAP equivalent process on an occasional basis
- Monitor regulatory and accounting changes (both UK and internationally) and reviewing processes when relevant
- Build relationships with business stakeholders
- Contribute towards technological advances that will increase efficiency or reduce errors across the business
- Perform ad-hoc analyses as required and provide recommendations and solutions based on these
- Assisting with the delivery of projects and development activities within the business as required
Profile
The successful candidate will be a Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) and have:
- 3+ years' experience working with similar models - ideally cash flow based impairment models
- Proven technical experience in building such models
- Moderate to Advanced Base SAS (Statistical Analysis System) Programming capability or alternatively significant SQL experience
- Advanced Excel and MS Office Suite experience
- Strong communication skills
- Ideally experience in quantitative analysis
- Ideally relevant experience in working with MI and designing and producing MI reports
- Preferably a Statistical, Mathematics or Economics background
- Preferably experience working within a consumer credit/lending portfolio
- Preferably experience or knowledge across other risk disciplines
