Are you an experienced Internal Communications professional looking for the next step in your career? If so, Experian's award-winning Internal Communication function in the UK is looking for an experienced strategic business partner with strong stakeholder management skills and excellent communications experience to join the team. The successful candidate will be a strategic Internal Communication Business Partner providing comms strategy and executive coaching to the Executive Leadership teams of at least two of our business areas.
This is a great role for a senior Communications professional who is looking to drive change and efficiences within a major business area, who is keen to get their teeth stuck in to projects and change programmes to help us drive an engaging comms strategy. You'll be working with the Executive leadership team of your business area, meaning your voice will be truly instrumental in developing a first class comms strategy. This role can be Nottingham or London (Victoria) based.
Who are the Internal Communications team?
Our aim is to enable better communications across the business to inspire people to reach personal and business goals, with our focus on the ongoing progression of our strategic narrative, developing our leadership population as communicators, and creating communications that motivate our people. In this role you will report to the Head of Internal Communications and Corporate Responsibility with the remit to lead communications strategies for projects and BAU activities within those areas. You will also have the opportunity to act as internal communications lead on some of our region-wide initiatives.
Typically our Business Partners support stakeholders based between our London Victoria and Nottingham offices, with occasional travel to other UK&I offices.

As an Internal Communications Business Partner, you will be responsible for the following:
Being a key trusted comms advisor and coach to the Business Line Exec leads and the senior leadership teamsDirecting designated Business Line internal communications activities working in partnership with the Business Line Exec leads, the senior leadership team and the Internal Communications ManagerUnderstanding developing business issues and translate the Business Line strategy into an engaging communication strategy that is aligned to the regional IC approach.Advise on, and develop, key communication themes and messaging whilst ensuring they link to the overall UK&I regional and global key themesWorking in partnership with Marketing and PR to ensure our internal messages are managed and joined up with our external communications.Working closely with the leadership teams, involved in the development of business strategies and plans, from a communications perspective, and challenging business and engagement strategy where appropriateManaging expectations with specialist communications delivery resources, in particular the Internal Comms Manager, specialist Internal Comms Execs, Events and Design teamsOverall responsibility for ensuring communication planning for the Business Line is up to date and its use monitored and reportedEnsuring that brand values and visual identity are incorporated into communication deliverables and that our communications represent our behavioursEvaluation of the effectiveness of communications (outcome-, rather than metric-focused)Contributing to the development of a strong collaborative culture within the Communications function, which positions Experian UK&I as the best place to work for communication specialistsAs one of the senior members of the Internal Communications team, you will be a role model and mentor to other members of the team.

We're looking for someone with strong stakeholder management skills and proven communications experience to be a true strategic Business Partner to their areas. On top of this we're looking for someone with the following:
Proven track record of senior leadership stakeholder managementExtensive experience of working in a business partner capacityExcellent stakeholder management skills with a consultancy approachGravitas and an excellent communication skill at all levelsStrategic approach with a focus on the 'bigger picture' - taking separate projects and developing a narrative that connects them Proven ability of creating copy on behalf of business leadersExperience of working with strong brand guidelines to deliver aligned internal communication activityDemonstrated knowledge of best practice channel strategyAbility to effectively manage multiple projectsStrong planning, budgeting and strategy formulation experienceSound industry and regulatory understandingAbility to operate effectively in a "virtual" team working environmentRelevant experience across a range of communications disciplines in a complex matrix structure organisation.Preferably educated to degree standard or equivalentWhilst some degree of compromise is always necessary to get the right outcome the ideal candidate will feel comfortable in understanding their core role and pushing back on requests which tend to fall outside their remit.
