Cloud Security Architect - London
The role of the Cloud Security Architect is delivery of a number of Digital and Cloud related global Security Architecture projects. The Cloud Security Architect will lead the design and development of architectures (including related architectural patterns), which are aligned with company standards as well as IT and business strategy.
The Cloud Security Architect may work across either the Enterprise, Technical, Data or Solutions Architecture disciplines. Focus is on Cloud technologies (e.g. AWS, GCP, and Azure), as well as API, micro services.
This is a chance for an experienced Cloud Security Architect to join a digital team working in a brand new function inside one of the leading banks on a number of greenfield projects where security will be a key concern all the way through the software development lifecycle.
Cloud Security Architect Responsibilities:
* Influential in the continued development of architecture standards.
* Acts as a subject matter expert, contributes to the development of group standards and identifies and implements new practices, processes and technologies where required.
* Instrumental in the design and delivery of architectures for business solutions through the solutions design process, focusing mainly on medium or multiple architecture projects.
* Provide expert-level understanding of appropriate group business systems, their associated requirements and technology usage.
* Stay abreast of technology trends and advise IT and the business about potential benefits, impacts.
* Provide a consultancy role to IT and business teams where appropriate.
* Where appropriate, provide full architectural life cycle guidance to business and IT teams and ensure quality technical deliverables.
* Deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure own conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.
* Actively promote the benefits of architecture, accepted best practice techniques, standards and tools to other areas of the group and external suppliers where necessary.
* Ensure that the highest level of quality is provided for all activities and products.
* Mentor and coach less experienced members of staff and promotes an understanding of the value of architecture and of use of technologies and standards in their domain across IT.
* Adhere to ever greening priorities for global business, global functions.
Security Architect Skills:
* Relevant product knowledge including knowledge of Container technologies (any of Docker, Garden, Pivotal Cloud Foundary, Kubernetes)
* Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. Application architecture, development, engineering
* Strong experience in architecting security solutions
* CISM, CISSP, TOGAF Qualifications
* Past working experience on relevant systems, i.e. Big data, mobile, systems using Oauth and Open ID Connect, PKI, 2FA is desirable but not essential
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences
