Manufacturing Buyer

Experienced Buyer required to join a manufacturing business based in Lincoln.

Your new company
You will be working within a division of a global manufacturing / engineering group from their Lincoln site and will be working as part of their strategic purchasing team; to cover maternity leave they are looking to employ a proactive Buyer.

Your new role
Reporting into the Procurement Manager you will take responsibility for sourcing goods and services with UK and worldwide supplier base and will undertake cost reduction initiatives across the supply base whilst ensuring that suppliers adhere to all quality and on time delivery SLA's. You will provide supplier management support to operational teams that are working on order placement and expediting tasks.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will possess proven experience of contract and supplier management, preferably gained within a manufacturing business, with a focus on supplier negotiations of contracts and contract renewals. The business utilises a variety of IT systems and ideally you will possess experience within an MRP system as well as possessing Intermediate level Excel skills.

What you'll get in return
The role will initially be recruited on a 14 month Fixed Term Contract to start in July 2017, to cover a maternity leave; however it is highly likely that the role will become permanent after this initial period.
