PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Education, Qualifications and
Training -
Essential GCSE Maths and English
Desirable - Studying for the AAT (Association of Accounting Technician or equivalent)
Experience and
Knowledge
Essential -
Experience in Sage Line 50 Accounts packages
Previous experience in an Accounts office.
Strong Microsoft and Excel skills
Good organisation and administrative skills.
Other Skills - Excellent attention to detail

MAIN DUTIES
*Update and maintain Sage accounting system, including both posting transactions and improving system to suit.
*Maintain & reconcile accounts using SAGE
*Reconcile various bank and control accounts
*Accounts payable‐ ensure all invoices posted accurately to Sage and prepare periodic lists for payment runs
*Ensure Accounts receivable effectively managed including suitable credit control
*Prepare quarterly VAT return
*Liaise with external payroll providers and external accountants
*Work with the FD to improve the provision of management information
*Assist with general office duties and be an important part of a small effective team.
