MAIN JOB PURPOSE:
The varied and fast-paced role of Account Manager is responsible for a diverse portfolio of salon-only hair brands including BED HEAD, BEDHEAD FOR MEN, CATWALK, S FACTOR, COPYRIGHT COLOUR and TIGI EDUCATION. This role is responsible for driving sales and increased market share in the territory. TIGI's brand mission is to be 'By Hairdressers, For Hairdressers' and the Direct Channel, selling directly to salons, is a key focus in TIGI's strategy for the UK & Ireland, differentiating the company from competitors by providing superior customer service and linking salons to TIGI's world-class education and creative teams.
JOB SUMMARY
- Achieving targeted sales goals and delivering bottom line profitability
- Contribute to and analyse sales forecasts, identifying challenges and successes.
- Reporting regularly to the Divisional Manager on sales performance and productivity of the territory, explaining gaps when necessary and generating solutions for additional turnover.
- Contributing to/delivering promotion, activity and NPD distribution plans
- Using factual data and market insights, provide robust, creative and honest feedback on proposals for promotional and product activity and analysis of promotional effectiveness to TIGI marketing teams.
- Ensure strong promotion of TIGI in all salons via monthly promotions, staff training, merchandising and effective business planning.
- Contribute to and attend regional/national meetings, training sessions, trade events and shows as directed by the Country Leadership Team.
- Manage relationships with key customers
- Visit all managed accounts every month to undertake reviews and create Joint Business Plans where possible.
- Operate a productive and effective journey plan, having identified key customer relationships pivotal to the division's business.
- Develop and manage new business opportunities and negotiate where required on sales volume and terms deals.
- Support Account Managers in prospect account openings, influencing the sale and the direct of the discussion.
- Through effective business planning ensure and drive educational training in salon and merchandising.
- Budget Accountability: Recognise where use of events or shows will drive business success and ensure all business and promotional events on division remain within the set budget and deliver return on investment.
- Ensuring salon debt is collected in line with company expectations.
- Reporting on sales figures, account activity and competitor activity when requested.
- To communicate and utilise all other departments with TIGI for the development of the business unit.
- To support and promote the sales of regional salon development courses, by encouraging commitment from salon owners to book places both for themselves and/or their team members.
- Action all orders promptly and work with customer service and credit control to ensure consistently high service levels.
