If so then this is a brilliant opportunity to join the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) and help us meet our vision of keeping everyone safe on Britain's roads.

As a Vehicle Standards Assessor (VSA), you will carry out technical examinations on a variety of vehicles to ensure they are legally compliant. Working at a number of Authorised Testing Facilities (ATF's), you will be a recognised expert in roadworthiness standards for the HGV and PSV industries, playing a key part in providing a high quality service and offering customers advice on vehicle safety and maintenance.

For this role, we provide additional allowances of a GBP2,590 technical allowance and a GBP3,500 flexibility module payment. There are additional monthly flexibility payments when the criteria for these are met.

Posts within the M25 receive an additional allowance of GBP4,000, and posts in Aberdeen receive an additional allowance of GBP2,500.

As part of a team of Vehicle Standards Assessors, you will work remotely and flexibly to deliver testing services.

Using your specialist knowledge and experience, you will carry out a range of functions, including:
• supporting DVSA's compliance, road safety and safer driving objectives
• delivering testing services being mindful of quality and customer needs
• working collaboratively with your colleagues and customers to ensure the effective delivery of testing services

About you

You will have a willingness to drive on DVSA business and represent us. You're flexible in your approach to work and are willing to spend nights away from home with prior notice. Please note for this role you will be deployed flexibly across our testing network.
