My client is a Busy ICAEW accountancy practice (2 partners, 3 staff) based near Halesowen, West Midlands
They are now looking for a qualified accountant to join their team.
This is a general practice role and will involve all aspects of accounts and tax. The practice has a number of clients involved in real estate development and investment (but experience of this sector is not essential). Wide exposure to different challenging tasks.
The successful applicant will be ACA/ACCA qualified or be qualified experience, with a solid practice background, strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills.
Likely candidate will have enjoyed working for a smaller independent firm of accountants and have some experience of operating with some autonomy.
Permanent, full-time role
Salary: Dependent on experience (GBP30-GBP40k)
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Working closely with the Partners
- Preparation of year-end financial statements and management accounts
- Tax compliance work and preparation of tax computations and returns for companies, partnerships and individuals
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Desired system experience: VT, TaxCalc, Quickbooks, Xero, Sage line 50, Microsoft Office - Strong Excel, Word and Outlook
- Able to work to deadlines
- Highly accurate
- Occasional travel to meet with clients.
- Work to a high level of initiative
- Can work closely with senior people within the organisation
- Excellent communication skills
