Software Developer - .Net / PHP / Ruby

A Software Developer is required to join a software consultancy specialising in web technologies, systems integration, and legacy systems support and migration.

They have a requirement for talented developers of all levels, junior to experienced.

Successful candidates will be academically talented, happy to learn a broad range of technologies new and old, and have a pragmatic attitude.

They have clients with software systems written in a multitude of different languages, so flexibility and the willingness to learn different languages and platforms is key.

Experience with some of the following technologies would be helpful in your application

- Unix, and use of command line interfaces
- SQL and general principles of database schema design
- General knowledge of networks and how computers talk to each other
- Scripting languages such as perl, php, ruby or python
- Use of Microsoft .Net
- Object oriented development and design patterns such as Active Record
- Browser based application development and the Model-View-Controller design pattern
- Use of version control software such as subversion or git
