Our client in Ashton-Under-Lyne Greater Manchester, is a diverse and vibrant further education college that offers a wide range of course including A level and advanced level vocational study programmes, Apprenticeships and adult courses up to degree Level. Our client requires a highly skilled and motivated individual to be part of their careers service across the college. You will ensure that our students receive high quality and relevant advice and guidance from the start of their course through to the end of their College journey and will work alongside curriculum teams to plan effective activities and events which raise student aspirations and ensure effective progression into employment, higher education or further training. This is a fixed term, part time (18 hours per week) contract to cover a period of maternity leave.
The successful candidate will have a proven record in providing guidance to young people and a sound knowledge of relevant quality standards relating to the FE sector. You will be qualified to Level 4 or above in careers guidance and have relevant knowledge of current qualification frameworks and the UCAS process. You will have a sound understanding of the range of issues facing young people and how their aspirations and ability to make informed career choices.
