Job Title: Part time Bookkeeper
Hours: 3 days per week 9.00am-3.00pm
Holiday: 20 days incl. statutory bank holidays per year pro rata.
Hourly rate: £9.00/hr negotiable
Responsible to: Director
This company runs four non-profit membership organisations (Water Management Society, LCA, CSCA and PWTAG). They are looking for a part time bookkeeper to assist the Accounts Administrator. SAGE experience is essential.
Bookkeeper Job Description
- Receive & place telephone calls, handling customer questions & concerns with speed and professionalism
- Ensure that customer databases (Filemaker Pro) are accurate and up to date
- Coordinate workflow, with particular emphasis on the peak administrative times in the business
- Bank reconciliations
- Purchase ledger: processing and recording all invoices for payment
- Sales ledger: allocating all payments received and processing all credit card payments.
- Enter all sales orders and produce related invoices
- Reconcile accounts
- Follow up any customer queries relating to invoices and resolve
- Credit control
Use of Excel, Word and Microsoft Outlook. SAGE knowledge and experience is essential.
A team player with a good telephone manner, able to manage and prioritise workload.
The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated within the organisation and the overall business objectives of the organisation. This is a small company and being a team player is essential.
