Grade 3 - £19,430 - £24,964

The Governors at St Edmund Campion Catholic School and Sixth Form Centre wish to appoint an English Intervention Officer with responsibility for the School Library.  The position would suit an individual an English or related degree who has a passion for literature and the ability to work with young people or who may be considering teaching as a future career.

The hours of work will be 8.30 am - 4.30 pm including lunch, working 36.5 hours per week, term time only (timings may alter according to the needs of the school (eg Open Evenings, Parents Evenings, etc).   Starting salary will be paid pro-rata of Grade 3, Point 11 (£19,430.00) per annum.

The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level, enthusiastic and self-motivated to promote reading across the school.  The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of the Library, dispense resources and support and supervise students using the facilities, overseeing Library developments and offer small group intervention to support Literacy and the Accelerated Reader Programme.  Experience of working in a Library or Study Skills environment would be an advantage but appropriate training may be given to the successful candidate.
