Tax Assistant

Our client is currently seeking a driven Tax Assistant to provide management of assignments in an effective and efficient manner, and ensure that clients receive a quality service in all areas.Responsibilities: To provide the principles of excellent client service at all times. To ensute that the assignment is undertaken in accordance with the preassignment instructions, and to carry out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently in accordance with the firms procedures. To ensure tax quality at all times by adhering to the firms quality standards. To provide a full and personal tax and compliance service as required by the circumstances of each client Preparation of personal tax returns. To mainstain an awareness of the firms specialist services and publications. To develop and maintain and advance level of technical knowlege through appropriate reading and courses, and to fulfil the professional bodies CPE requirements. To record time spent on each clients affairs using relevant computer software. If studying, achieve passes in the professional exams in the first attempt. Attend staff meetings and training as required. Maintain an awareness and observation of H&S issues within the firm, and report any concerns to the H&S representative. Cary out any other duties as are within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, the title of the role and its grading as requested by the line manager, head of department or partner. Requirements: Good standard of education, particularly in Maths and English. Work experience gained in a personal tax enviroment, preferably in pratice. Experience of a client or customer facing enviroment would be advantageous. Proven experience in client handling and managing a busy portfolio. AAT and/or ATT would be desirable. Experience of using digital software system desirable. Our client are offering a salary in the range of GBP20,000 GBP26,000 per annum for this position. Core hours are 9am 5:30pm.
