Salary: Circa 20K
Location: West Bromwich
Working hours: Permanent, full-time.
Our client manufactures an exciting range of systems for the construction, automotive, acoustic and audio markets, exporting to numerous countries around the world. They are a leading manufacturer of engineered facade and roofing systems to the architectural sector, complemented by a comprehensive range of fasteners, load bearing components and accessories. They have full in-house testing facilities, as well as 3D design and engineering analysis and also produce a broad range of acoustic mesh and perforated components for the automotive, architectural and audio markets, specialising in visual imaging on facades as well as aesthetic diffusion and absorption solutions.
THE ROLE- Test Technician-West Bromwich
Due to growth, my client now requires a Test Technician to join there engineering team. The Test Technician will provide support by undertaking a recording test and inspection of a range of products within the business. Reviewing and feeding back information and supporting data where material or quality issues are raised to enable best quality products are supplied to our clients.
Key responsibilities for Test Technician in West Bromwich to include:
Test and inspection of all fixings received into the business, working to CE mark standards
Reviewing material and quality issues raised by the production teams
Testing performance of products to comply with regulations as appropriate
Provide support to the Engineering team, undertaking research and development activities for new product development in various ranges, such as purlins and brackets

CANDIDATE-Test Technician-West Bromwich
The ideal candidate for this will have some experience and understanding of quality testing/mechanical stress testing from an engineering background or be educated/ hold a metals, engineering , or materials based qualification, although this not essential. You will have good computer skills and communication skills, with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.
Criteria's- Test Technician-West Bromwich
Experience( work, laboratory or University based) of materials quality control and stress testing highly desirable
Educated to GSCE Maths and English (A* - C) or equivalent essential
Degree/Higher education qualification in a metal materials/engineering discipline highly advantageous
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Good ability to work both on your own and as part of a team
Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
A good ability to work at fast pace in a highly pressured environment
