Director - E Trading Compliance

The Firm: As the banking sector continues to evolve toward faster processing of trades, e-trading is inevitably a major focus for competitive trading floors. As one of the largest banks in the world, the firm trades on multiple platforms through all of the major exchanges. They are now looking for a Compliance Director to oversee the breadth of their e-trading business. The Role: Working within an exceptionally strong Compliance team of Directors who have individual coverage responsibilities for FX, Rates, Credit and Emerging Markets, your role will be to cover the E-Trading suite. You will need to be very familiar with the breadth of the Fixed Income division and if possible, have had exposure to Equity Derivatives as well. You will benefit from the support of some exceptional junior compliance officers and have the ability to mentor and invest in their development. You will also need to have very strong technical skills as your stakeholders will include Quantitative Analysts and Business Managers who will lean heavily on your knowledge of the UK and international regulatory frameworks. The Candidate: * University degree * Very strong technical knowledge of Fixed Income E-trading (essential), strong knowledge of Equity Derivatives (desirable) * Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with stakeholders across the trading floors, IT, Operations, Legal, Finance and the Compliance division. * Strong business acumen with the ability to balance commercial need with very high standards in compliance.
