These roles are primarily located in Swansea with the possible option to work from Bristol or Swindon.

We are looking for Infrastructure Engineers/Team Leads (Cloud) to help build world class digital services where you'll be part of a team delivering both service excellence and agile change. You will be supporting the programme that migrates legacy technology onto new, cloud-based platforms that shape and deliver up to 50 projects of varying size, risk and complexity paving the way for the future business and service transformation.
2017 is going to be an exciting year in DVLA IT Services where we are continuing the major transformation of our legacy estate utilising an in-house developed and supported set of services. Our services will have the reach to every household in the UK, the size and scale would be the envy of any UK ecommerce service provider, so it will be a fabulous opportunity to make a difference for us and for you.
You will have the opportunity to:-
• Work on your own initiative
• Take responsibility for large and small changes - including building and designing components, platforms and tools
• Analyse and resolve service delivery issues
• Follow and/or contribute to the development of documented processes
• Monitor technology performance and identify opportunities to improve it - continual improvement ethos

• Work as part of a team to provide knowledge, help and advice
• Develop own skills and actively coach and develop others
• Develop an understanding of DVLA's services
• Develop deeper technical knowledge and understanding
• Manage a team, providing technical leadership and accountability for their outcomes (G7 level)
• Contribute to, and support, organisational change and embracing new ways of working
Additional Role Requirements
1) The majority of these roles are full-time day shift. For these roles candidates will need to be available on a rota basis to undertake out of ours activities and on call cover to support delivery of the service.
2) A small number of roles will require candidates to work within a shift system covering 24 hours a day 7 days per week. An indicative shift allowance of 35% is applicable.
Please note if candidates request an alternative working pattern this will affect the shift allowance payable.
You should note that although your initial working pattern will be as quoted above, the Agency reserves the right to alter, or modify these hours, on appropriate notice, should the need arise.
We will consider requests from candidates for alternative working patterns so long as that pattern can be accommodated with the demands of the role.
Security Clearance Level
Successful candidates will need to be eligible to gain Security Check Clearance
Salary Range
G7 = GBP49,835 to GBP60,649 depending on skills and experience
SEO = GBP37,428 to GBP42,991 depending on skills and experience

An initial sift of your CV will be conducted against the essential criteria, if demonstrated you will be contacted to arrange telephone interview. The final stage of the process will be an interview and assessment.
