Job Description LOCATION: Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
JOB TITLE: Warehouse Operatives
SALARY & BENEFITS: PM shift GBP9 per hour / Night Shift GBP10 per hour plus additional premiums for freezer work and FLT and overtime rates at time and a half
WORKING HOURS: PM shifts 2pm - 10pm or Night Shifts 10pm - 6am
THE COMPANY: Our business are a business leader in retail distribution covering Uk wide, and is now looking for reliable and dedicated Warehouse Operatives for its Depot in Hemel Hempstead. It is a great opportunity for a permanent full time contract for the right individuals. Our client offer a competitive salary, full training, workplace pension and a subsidised staff shop. In addition they also provide opportunities for growth within various sectors of the business, so for the right candidate is a real genuine chance for career development.
All hours beyond 37.5 are paid at time and a half, and our clients have great opportunities for overtime during our very busy summer months. The normal working week is any four or five days Sunday to Friday, so you can always have Saturday as a rest day!
THE ROLE: As a Warehouse Operative who will work within a team and will work safely and responsibly in carrying out are range of warehouse related tasks including -
• Order Picking using Voice recognition software, loading and general warehouse duties
• Operating LLOP's and other MHE
• Achieving daily targets
• Maintaining a tidy and organised work environment
• Able to undertake a physically demanding role
• Working within a multi-temperature environment
THE CANDIDATE: The successful candidate for the warehouse Operatives role must be physically fit and able to undertake a physically demanding role. It is also essential as you will be using voice recognised software for order picking that you have a good level of spoken English and communication skills. You should be reliable and hard working individual who is responsible and mature. For the right candidate long term and developmental prospects will be offered so candidates looking to pursue a career in Warehousing or Distribution should apply.
Key Experience/ Characteristics preferred for the Warehouse Operatives role in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire :-
- Must be Physically fit and able to undertake a physically demanding role
- Should be able to work in a fast paced environment and meet deadlines
- Must have a good level of spoken English and communication skills
- Must live in or be able t commute to Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire
