Salary: GBP46597 per annum

What you'll be doing
Your main responsibilities will be:
Ensuring you pass all relevant assessments in relation to a GWR Qualified Train Driver. Following an intensive period of training and route learning Driving a train safely while training in a punctual and economical manner Abiding by numerous policies and Rules that are in place for safety purposes. Locate, and where possible, rectify faults, following the correct reporting procedures To maintain a productive and professional relationship with your colleagues, Trainers and others involved in your training at all times.
Who we're looking for
You'll need to be:
Able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and nights. Living within 60 minutes travelling time of the depot. (within 60 minutes for both own travel and on public transport) Be responsible for making your own way into the depot at all times, also, when public transport is not available. Able to provide an excellent service for our customers. Able to follow safety critical instructions. Able to comply with the Drugs and Alcohol Policy, Rules and Procedures Willing to wear uniform while on duty as issued, to meet GWR Standards
As a minimum you'll need to have:
A reputable work history and standard of Safety detailed on the RSSB B1 Record of Safety Critical information form (old ATOC form). Which GWR uses as a part of the short-listing process A good standard of Safety Critical information history while a Qualified Driver The ability to be punctual at all times The ability to listen to instructions and follow them. The ability to communicate effectively. The ability and willingness to learn new information and apply it in practice. The ability to work alone and concentrate for long periods of time
