The BusinessWe're looking for a Business Analyst in Edinburgh Hyperion Planning is a centralized planning, budget and forecasting solution that integrates financial and operational planning process and improves business predictability You'll be part of our Hyperion Planning Centre of Excellence, which is a centralised team responsible for supporting the different franchises of the bank during its annual Budget submissions This newly formed team, comprised of skilled Business Analysts and Developers, builds and enhances the applications within Hyperion Planning based on requirements received from business users What you'll do In this role, you'll be assisting with small single projects or components of larger projects, to support the delivery of high quality business solutions. You'll be analysing data to identify business issues and opportunities, and providing high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution. Your main responsibilities will include: Making sure that the Planning Budget cycle of the organisation is executed smoothly Delivering functional improvements that have a positive impact Defining functional requirements where needed, and providing input into the high level design of solutions Incorporating the constantly changing business requirements into technology platform Making sure that there is documentation to support the delivered solutions The skills you'll need To be successful in this role, you'll need to be an experienced Business Analyst with excellent Hyperion Planning skills and experience. We're looking for you to have: Worked on functional requirements through to functional testing parts of the development lifecycle Conducted several UATs and successfully made live the planning applications Prepared functional documentation and test scripts An understanding of financial concepts like financial planning, budgeting and forecasting Knowledge of industry standards and best practice We'd also expect you to hold a degree, and an Oracle Hyperion Planning Certification would be desirable.
