An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Solutions Analyst to join Experian's Credit Services on a 12 month fixed term contract
As a Solutions Analyst, you will be working in our Data Innovation Group (DIG). Conducting software development, code reviews, internal testing and data analysis to fulfil client delivery requirements will all be key duties for the successful applicant. Primarily working with WPS and SAS to develop, maintain and evolve DIG processes while meeting or exceeding Experian's Global Security and technical polices. There will also be a requirement to liaise with the external and internal stakeholders to ensure a great operational service.
The right candidate for this role will be innovative and inquisitive mind, focused on addressing and solving data and analysis problems with a strong focus on collaborative working and team work.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out and when required, supervise others carrying out, the extraction, formulation and manipulation of data to create the structured samples necessary to address business requirement.Interpret and, where appropriate, supervise others in the interpretation of analysis results.Produce analysis that is accurate and completed to agreed timescales, resulting in positive feedback from client/customer.Follow DIG procedures and processes throughout the scorecard development process, ensuring all work is produced to the agreed specification, and taking responsibility to produce documentation and MI.Identify and resolve data or analytical problems, producing appropriate analysis to verify results.Challenge existing processes and recommend improvements.Input into the accurate assessment of the work that needs to be undertaken to define and maintain a project plan. Contribute to the preparation of regular project status reports to both internal and external parties.Liaise with other internal and external project management groups to ensure project is delivered as part of complete solution.Proactively identify potential risks in achieving project timescales, taking pro-active action to minimise risk.Demonstrate understanding of the client requirements.Build and maintain positive day to day client relationships at peer level.Together with the key stakeholders take part in client reviews and delivery meetings. Meet with clients to present results and conclusions in both written and verbal form. Role Requirements
Degree or equivalent standard, with a high numeric content e.g. Mathematics, Statistics, Operational Research, Economics, Physical Sciences.Significant experience of statistical / analytical project work.Thorough knowledge of the use and application of the scoring models within the implemented solution.Thorough understanding of the scorecard development process and statistical techniques which may be used to address client business issues.PC literate with experience in the use of statistical (e.g., SAS, SQL) and IT packages.Full understanding of Experian bureau data and value added products and how these are used within a client environment.Good understanding of the Consumer Information product range and their use within the client's business.Knows the steps that must be taken to investigate/correct data problems.Open date 23rd June 2017 - Closing date 11th August 2017
