Salary - GBP9,425 (Equivalent to GBP5.00 per hour)
Blackpool Sixth is a leading provider of A level and BTEC courses. With a choice of over 60 advanced level options, specialist teaching and fantastic facilities, Blackpool Sixth gives all its students the perfect springboard to university and great careers.
An excellent opportunity has now arisen for a Finance Apprentice to join the college's Finance and Human Resources (HR) department. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing assistance in financial and HR administration whilst studying for the AAT Advanced Diploma
Working as part of the Finance and HR team your responsibilities will include assisting the Bursar and Finance Officer in all aspects of financial administration including routine administration, word-processing, use of spreadsheets, and database data entry and retrieval.
Whilst working alongside the team to share best practice and live the core values, you will provide a professional and confidential service to all staff that require assistance.
Study for the AAT qualification will be provided by a specialist finance training provider, and you will be required to attend their training centre in Manchester for approximately 26 days for learning and exams over the duration of your apprenticeship. This study will facilitate achievement of the AAT Advanced Diploma (Level 3), which could lead to onward progression to the AAT Professional Diploma (Level 4).
You will possess good communication and organisation skills whilst demonstrating outstanding customer care at all times and with your energy, enthusiasm and flexibility you will have an ability to work as part of a team whilst demonstrating your empathy for the needs of all stakeholders.
