My client a leading financial solutions provider is seeking to recruit a Senior Infrastructure Analyst with a cross breed of Windows and Linux administration skills:
Technical Skills
*A demonstrable background in team leadership and management..
*An working experience of Tomcat, Apache, MySQL and SQL 2005/2008/2012
*Experience of system monitoring using Zabbix, Virtualisation using Xen-server and KVM Apache web Servers and virtual hosting.
*Working knowledge of DNS and BIND is highly desired.
*A good working knowledge of Wintel IT systems with a broad scope of skills and experience of mainstream IT infrastructure services and components including:
*Microsoft Active Directory services
*Good understanding of networking including TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
*Server installation and builds
*Virtualisation technologies including VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V
*Workstation builds and deployments including Microsoft WDS and MDT
*Practical experience of implementing security policies and system lockdowns including Microsoft Active Directory GPOs, application whitelisting/blacklisting and device/media control
*A good working knowledge of at least one Microsoft Back Office product (eg Exchange, SQL,)
*Implementation and management of enterprise class Anti-Virus product
*Implementation and management of enterprise class Backup solution
*Implementation and management of enterprise class Patching/Update solution including Microsoft SUS/WSUS
*A good working knowledge of enterprise Firewalls (Cisco PIX/ASA, McAfee, F5)
*Cisco networking to CCNA level
*Citrix Terminal Services/XenApp services
*Minimum of 3 years in a senior IT support or infrastructure role
*Experience of supporting environments for medium to large enterprises in multi-environments
*Detailed knowledge of and experience supporting and maintaining:
oWindows Server 2003, 2008, 2012
oMicrosoft Active Directory, Group Policy, Remote Desktop Services/Terminal Services, DHCP, DNS
oOffice 365 or Microsoft Exchange
oNetworking, including Firewalls, VPN, MPLS, NAT, VLANs, switch/Router configuration, complex LAN/WANs
oVirtualisation technologies, including building hypervisors from bare metal
*Ability to multitask while working, organise themselves, prioritising project work and user requests
*Flexibility to work outside of normal working hours when required and to participate in an on-call rota
*Genuine interest in IT as well as emerging trends and technologies
*Initiative and drive for self-development beyond company assisted training and mentoring
